Any member in good standing can run in election for an open seat. Nominations for candidates may be made by any member of the Club in good standing as determined by the Leadership Council. All nominations must be seconded by another member in good standing different from the nominating member (and both different from the candidate) [Constitution, Article 5, Section 3].
